AlMustafa Trust was registered with the Government of Pakistan under Registration Act 1882 on September 5, 1998 with endowment in Pakistan and abroad. AlMustafa Trust UK was registered in the United Kingdom in September 2005 as Charity No. 1111654 and is governed by law of UK charity commission. AlMustafa Trust is also registered in USA in the year 2016 in state of Virginia.
Enlistment with the Government of Pakistan
The Government of Pakistan enlists charitable organizations after thorough scrutiny. This enlistment helps in establishing credibility and transparency with international donor agencies. AlMustafa trust applied for enlistment with the Government of Pakistan, who after satisfying themselves with the performance of the Trust, granted approval vide their letter No 1(2) NGO/2001, dated 2 August 2002.
Certification by Pakistan Center for Philanthropy
Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) is a nonprofit support organization, which was established in 1999 to increase societal understanding of philanthropy, build linkages between grant makers and grant seekers and evaluate functioning and role of various social welfare organizations. A detailed evaluation and inspection by the PCP’s professional teams led to registration and eventual certification. AlMustafa Trust went through the process of their inspection and evaluation and was certified by them in January 2006, March 2008 January 2012 and 2015.
