History

Origins of AlMustafa

Founded by Lt. Gen. Ghulam Muhammad Malik (Retd), AlMustafa Trust made a humble start on 5th Sept 1998 housed in a small building provided by a Philanthropist free of any cost. Ever since, the Trust has moved a long way making an unparalleled progress, now having 22 medical centers ( 7 urban, 15 in rural area), 21 dispensaries and mobile units, thus providing free primary health care facilities in 86 cities, towns and villages across the country.
The number of beneficiaries treated during 2020 stands at 816,591, a slight decrease from 2019 figures of 942,506. Glancing through history of our performance statistics would reveal enhanced figures of beneficiaries every year, however, the current decrease is mainly due to COVID-19 crisis leading to frequent lockdowns in the country where people preferred to stay home. Despite close of OPDs in public and private health care sector and simmering effects of Coronavirus, our medical centers (barring few) remained functional throughout and kept on providing medical care to the poor and the needy across the country.
Besides registration with Pakistan Center for Philanthropy, the Trust is also registered with UK Charity Commission and the state of Virginia, USA.
